Aesthetically, the film plays with this well-to-do liberalism, all elegant black and white photography and judicious use of classical music on the soundtrack.

‘Healing’ is an apt psychological drama / thriller with good production values and powered by compelling acting.

Although the message of the film, shown at the very end, is dubious, the journey there in the hands of Elsener, who serves as the writer, director, editor and producer here, is smooth, deft and crafty.

Servane d’Alverny is more interested in creating the specific mood rather than telling a story.
