pflasterspektakel (International Street Art Festival in Linz) 18.-20. July 2013

For the first time the Maindeck of the Ars Electronica Center becomes a performance location of Pflasterspektakel. The Australian artist Adam Read and his Roadside Company create a post-apocalyptic place by using lots of lights, sound, props and bizarre characters and transform the Maindeck in very special way into a “dangerous zone”. Adam Read was awarded with the Pflasterspektakel Production Scholarship 2013 for his concept which is based on the famous science fiction movie “Stalker” from Andrej Tarkowski.

Linda McCartney je, pre nego što je srela slavnog Beatlesa, izgradila karijeru jednog od omiljenih fotografa rock’n’roll muzičara SAD i Velike Britanije. Ona je bila prva žena čija je fotografija osvanula na naslovnoj stranici Rolling Stone magazina – u pitanju je portret Erica Claptona, jedne od mnogobrojnih rock zvezda koji su foto seanse sa Lindom McCartney hvalili kao neproblematične i ugodne.

The Image as a Granulate of Reality

In her art, Heike Baranowsky is examining the possibilities of digital takes, swiftly switching from stills to moving images and vice versa, making it difficult to tell when the manipulation starts or ends. By using the static shot and the long take, she is creating barely noticeable alterations of initial frame, playing with the notion of space and time.
