There are ample websites offering plenty of information about diverse events in Austria, but there aren’t any with a complete overview of all relevant cultural happenings. Our goal is to change that and to give our readers comprehensive information on current offers in Vienna, Linz, Salzburg and Lower Austria.
It’s not our intention to follow trends or popular opinion about what’s „good“ or „bad“ art and we certainly won’t be recommending things that we haven’t seen and evaluated (since none of us are teachers, we won’t be marking, but rather reviewing what’s worth seeing/ hearing/ experiencing and what is best left.

On the Internet there is sufficient information about the various events in Austria, but there is no web site that provides an overview of all relevant cultural events. Blog will not lead to any trends or formated opinions about what is “good” and what “bad” art, nor to recommend what has not been previously viewed and evaluated (do not share any kečeve or fives, but critical reviews and advice what to see, and what to skip)
Super idea to collect the events at one site, and to share ideas. As you know, I lived in Wien during the summer 2010 and visited some art shows in private galleries and museums. I was very interested in Marilyn Manson’s ‘Genealogies of Pain’ exhibition at the Kunsthalle Wien when I came across it; I don’t remember where I first heard about it. The exhibition was rather small when I was there; I think I went the first day it was open to the public. David Lynch’s short movies were interesting too. I remember thinking the exhibit would displease the ‘easily offended’ as Manson depicted himself with breasts and wearing bloody underwear, but I liked it.
