Ernst Caramelle’s permanent installation opens at the Art Passage, Karlsplatz
Caramelle’s painting on the elongated side wall of the pedestrian passage spreads over eight fields, all of which are occupied by simple spatial constellations. Fields with frontal views and fields with perspectivally distorted views alternate. Depending on the direction you walk through the passage, this arrangement conveys the impression of individual parts of the wall swiveling out from the straight surface of the tunnel wall to obstruct the passer-by’s progress.

Direktor Leopolda Thobias Natter opisuje Musée d’ Orsay kao idealnog partnera: “Akvizicija “golih muškaraca” od strane jednog od najvažnijih evropskih muzeja je pohvala našem radu u Leopoldu. “Nude men” go to Musée d’Orsay (September 24th ’13 – January 2nd ’14)
Thobias Natter describes Musée d’ Orsay is an ideal partner: “The acquisition of the “nude men” by one of Europe’s most important museums acknowledges our work in the Leopold Museum. We couldn’t have wished for a more ideal partner for the second station of the exhibition than the Musée d’ Orsay. From Danube to Seine, that does not happen very often.”
